Privacy Policy

Light Spend is designed to be simple and privacy-first. This policy explains what information the app uses and when it may be shared.

Summary (plain English)

• No account required.
• No ads.
• No analytics / tracking SDKs.
• Your expenses are stored on your device.
• Exchange rates: the app may contact api.frankfurter.app to fetch currency rates.
• Export: if you choose to export/share files (CSV/PDF), you control where they go.

Information Light Spend stores

Light Spend stores your expense data locally on your device. This may include:

• Expense amount
• Currency
• Category
• Date/time
• Optional note text
• Calculated values (e.g., converted amount in your base currency and the exchange rate used)

Information Light Spend does not collect

Light Spend does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers.

Network access / third-party services

Light Spend can fetch currency exchange rates from the Frankfurter API:

• Service: https://api.frankfurter.app
• Endpoint used: /latest?from=<baseCurrency>
• Purpose: provide up-to-date exchange rates for multi-currency conversion

When your device connects to this service, the service may receive standard technical information needed to deliver responses over the internet (for example, your IP address and basic request metadata). Light Spend does not add any identifying information to these requests.

Exports (CSV / PDF)

If you use the export feature, Light Spend generates a file (CSV or PDF) on your device and presents Apple’s standard share sheet. If you choose to share the file via email, messaging, cloud storage, or another app/service, that sharing is handled by the destination you select and is subject to their privacy practices.

Children

Light Spend is not specifically directed to children, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data retention and deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it. You can delete all app data at any time using the in-app “Reset” option or by deleting the app from your device.

International use

Light Spend can be used worldwide. Exchange-rate requests may be processed by third-party infrastructure depending on where the Frankfurter service is hosted.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date will be revised. Material changes should be reflected in the app’s App Store listing and/or in-app messaging where appropriate.
